Ben Charlie:
Ben Charlie (aka Ben "Chuck") is the son of the well-known Gwitchin fiddler, Charlie Peter Charlie. Ben is from Old Crow, but is now based out of Whitehorse, YT, where he works as an announcer on CHON FM radio. The program, Gwich'in Gingik NeeKaii, is a current affairs program broadcast in the Gwich'in language and is broadcast from 1:00 PM - 3:00pm PST.
"In partnership with the Vuntut Gwitch'in First Nation and the Yukon Government, these two hours presented in the Gwitch'in language, highlights news of the day and past week, along with Gwitch'in interviews, announcements and messages. The music is old country, but you can also catch local fiddlers and singers stopping by to showcase their talents." --NNBY webite.
