Full-time biologist, graduate of MIT, in a band with 4 other MIT grads playing and recording in the Boston area. Equipment: "I have a 10-year-old acoustic violin, and a ~100 year old acoustic viola. I have used Fishman piezo pickups on both, but lately have been beta-testing a new pickup system that I hope to be able to talk about soon. I desperately want a dedicated 5 or 6 string electric instrument, but I haven't liked and I've seen that much, and I can't afford a custom instrument right now.
