Catherine Burnside happens to be one of these people. Born in Spring Texas, now at the age of twenty-four, Catherine Burnside has been playing the violin for over twenty years. Touted as a young player that exhuded "Discipline, talent and passion…" Catherine began her classical training in the Suzuki System where she slowly moved on to completing all ten books of training. Searching for new experiences beyond her successful orchestra work and out of the classical world Catherine began her professional career at the age of seventeen. Since then Catherine's career has been very diverse ranging from various performances- solo and working with bands, studio work, and even experimental art. This diverse variety has allowed her to work in many different kinds of music and has proven herself as a real artist. Her range has covered all kinds of music from jazz, rock, rap, spiritual, classical, pop, and dance music. "As I've gotten older playing the violin has become more of a spiritual experience for me. There is this unspoken magic that occurs when you make music. When I play my violin and I begin to flow, I don't know where I stop and something more powerful begins. It is my silent companion and gives me a voice without words." Throughout this journey Catherine also developed her talents of design and explored her fervor of spiritual interests. During her career Catherine completed a degree from the Architecture School at University of Houston. This talent is reflected in the design of her website and the creation of her own Production Company called Haydn Productions. Fondly named after her favorite composer, Haydn Productions specializing in charity work and exploring the arts. Her strong spiritual nature and belief system is reflected in her passionate pursuits and training in yoga, meditation, fung shui, and astrology. Catherine's strong combination of intuition and intellect and her magnetic charismatic presence lead her to her continuous success and ability to energies any setting. Her performances allow her to develop her ability to compose music and to continuously explore her vast diversity and interest in all kinds of music. She spreads her love for the violin through her performances at balls and benefits, art openings, rock venues, and even fashion shows. Catherine prides herself on her breaking the status quo, bringing the violin to new arenas, and making it hip and fun. Catherine does this most effectively through her club performances. Using a mixture of her self-composed music, dance moves and sexy stage costumes, she leaves crowds breathless and inspired. She captures this magic with her DJ compilation demo CD that showcases her work with such internationally known DJ's as Little Louis Vega. Taking this experience and maturity, Catherine is currently going into the studio to embark on her first professionally produced CD. Expanding her talent and spreading her wings Catherine will make her impact on a national level expanding out of her hometown of Houston Texas. Stay Tuned.
